Bruno Bouckaert

Dear equestrian friends,

In this Paralympic year, it is a great honor for our club Quadrille to organize one of the last CPEDI*** and CPEDI** qualifying competitions for the Paris games. We wish all our participants to successfully complete their qualifications in order to obtain their ticket to Paris 2024.

The Paris games are obviously the major event of this sporting year and we are all looking forward to being able to live this experience a few hours drive from home. Particularly the equestrian events which will take place in the prestigious site of the Château de Versailles will be an unforgettable experience.

As usual we welcome you to the Sport Vlaanderen facilities in Waregem. 17 countries and 76 combinations will compete during these 3 days of competition. In the interest of excellence, the site is improved from year to year and therefore work is currently underway. We will ensure that the work is as minimally disruptive as possible to the running of the competition, and we already ask for your understanding for the small inconveniences that this work could cause during the competition. We thank Sport Vlaanderen for their welcome and collaboration.

Once again, the City of Waregem has honored its image as the “City of Horses” by giving us access to its facilities and providing us with equipment for the successful organization of the competition. We thank them very much and we strongly appreciate  this collaboration.

This entire organization would obviously not be possible without the generous contributions of our sponsors whom I would like to thank with all my heart. The smiles of our riders and their companions say a lot about the pleasure and satisfaction this competition gives them. Several ambassadors, ministers and other dignitaries will come to visit us to encourage all participants.

All that remains is for me to wholeheartedly thank the interns of the Vives school, all the volunteers and all the members of the Board of Directors of the Quadrille club for all the hours spent over the months behind the scenes and for their presence and their dedication during the competition.

Good competition and we look forward to seeing you again in Versailles.

Bruno Bouckaert,
President
